The money the student earns in each fundraiser is then put in their Earnings Fund Credit (EFC) account. The BPO keeps track of each band student’s EFC account.  The funds can be used for band related activities such as GBN band camp, the band banquet, shoes for marching band members and band trips.  A parent or student must request the use of their funds by submitting a form with final approval by the BPO President or Band Director and the BPO Fundraising chair. Note: this is a credit account only and as such, no cash disbursements to parents or students will be made

Used to transfer money from a students account to the school or another music parent’s organization.  Payments such as band camp or trips require this form.

Here is a link to the EFC Guidelines, updated 2017-04

This year the following fundraisers are planned:

1.  Link to Glenbrook North Bands BoosterShot Checkbooks Now Available!! This checkbook contains gift certificates valued at over $500 at local area merchants for only $30. The value of the gift certificates exceeds the cost of the book, and thus these books are highly desired by our Northbrook community.  From the price of the checkbooks (currently $30), the student will receive $15 in his/her Earnings Fund Credit (“EFC”) account.

2.  The second fundraiser is the popular fruit and cookie dough sale.  This fundraiser starts in October with the students taking orders which are due in November. The student delivers the products in December. Students receive 40% of the cost of each item sold, after shipping to their EFC account. Fruit and Cookie Dough order form.

3. The online sale of magazines and newspapers through Great American Opportunities. A student can sell magazines by asking friends and family to purchase online using our Glenbrook Band’s username and providing the student’s name as the person earning the funds. This fundraiser is ongoing throughout the school year with funds applied to the student’s account when the information is received from the company. Go to www.GAFundraising.com. Enter the GBN Band ID #2629103 (Glenbrook N High School Band Bstrs) and your student’s name before ordering.
